Bruise, Swelling and Healing Process After Nose Aesthetics

The recovery process varies according to the structure of the person and the operation performed, and the average recovery time is variable. However, temporary bruising and swelling may occur after rhinoplasty. People apply to rhinoplasty when they have a health problem or want to have an aesthetic appearance. Many people have plastic surgery because they do not like the shape of their nose. Rhinoplasty is performed to correct the damage to the nose as a result of various accidents that may occur in daily life. Many reasons such as the nose structure being long, wide, and low nose tip are shown as the reasons for people to have aesthetics.

Age Limit for Nose Aesthetics

In order to perform rhinoplasty, the development of the bone structure of the person must be completed. For this reason, rhinoplasty is not performed on children. For aesthetics, it is expected that the bone structure development is completed, not the age limit. Since bone development in children continues until the age of 18, it is generally said that the person should be older than 18 or wait until the age of 18 for rhinoplasty. There is no difference between male and female rhinoplasty other than the shape to be applied.

How Many Hours Does Nose Aesthetics Take?

Nasal aesthetic surgeries vary according to the nose structure of the person to be operated and the procedure to be performed. Surgery, such as the correction of the curvature of the nose, usually takes between 2 hours and 2.5 hours. In cases such as nose tip shaping, this period may be shorter. In cases of major damage to the nose, if all procedures such as repairing the damage, performing the appropriate aesthetics, shaping will be performed at the same stage, the duration of this operation may take up to 6 hours depending on the situation.

Swelling, Bruises and Healing Process

In some of the nose aesthetic operations, swelling and bruising may not occur. This completely depends on the operation performed. Bruising after rhinoplasty usually lasts for a week and heals quickly after a week. In the first two days after the operation, swelling may occur in and around the operation area, as edema may occur. Depending on their condition, the swelling may go away in a week or may last a little longer. Some time is needed for the edema to be completely eliminated and this time may be 3 months. No bruising and swelling may be seen in simple aesthetic procedures such as nose tip shaping and curvature correction.
